Women, Wine, & Wisdom Seminar

There is no greater certainty in life than death and taxes. We have all received advice from our financial planners to do our estate planning and have our Wills prepared. However, that means understanding certain financial fundamentals, along with the legal issues specifically relating to planning one’s estate. This is a daunting task, no doubt, but when faced with difficult tasks, women will always rise to the challenge.

Anthea Law, a partner with Vogel LLP and the head of the Estates practice group, together with Christine Lang, BA (Econ), CPA, CGA, CCS and president and founder of Lang Financial Consulting & Wealth Solutions Inc., will be presenting a seminar on Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm at the TransAlta Pavilion, Taylor Centre for the Performing Arts at Mt. Royal University. Unlike other workshops, this workshop has been prepared by women, for women. Anthea and Christine will be presenting on topics that include:

  • Planning for blended families
  • Tax benefits of charitable giving
  • Wills and divorce
  • Executor’s responsibilities and risks
  • Planning for incapacity
Bring your spouse, partner, best friend, sister, aunt, niece, colleague and/or neighbour, and join Anthea and Christine for a glass of wine and the opportunity to build on the wisdom that is inherent in all women.
